Your holiday apartment in Laudat
The apartment ist completely private with its own entrances, one to the car park, and one to the terrace and garden.
Most of the furniture is made of natural, solid wood, partly self-made, to make you feel comfortable.
The water is coming from Morne Macaque and captured and channeled into the public water system just above the village of Laudat. So it is safe to drink the water from the tap.
The WiFi internet connection is stable and fast with the apartment having its own router.
As the apartment is completely self-contained, it is also suitable for a longterm stay. Contact us for prices and availability.
The living area
At 600 m altitude, there is definitely no need for an AC. Instead, you get the natural fresh air from the rainforest through a local ventilation system..
In the midst of 99 shades of green, there is no need for a TV. Instead, you get breathtaking views and the soothing yet vitalizing energy from nature that surrounds you.
For leisure, there are plenty of "real" books on the shelf, a few games, as well as a Blue Tooth sound system to listen to your favorite music, audiobooks, etc..

The kitchen
The kitchen is fully eqiuipped with what you need:
- tableware and cutlery
- pots and pans
- fridge with freezer compartment
- gas stove
- water cooker
- toaster
- blender
- coffee maker (French press)
- the essentials: salt, pepper, sugar, oil, vinegar, olive oil, tea and coffee.
As there are only two small shops with basic food items in Laudat, make sure to bring your own groceries if you plan to cook.
The bedroom
The bedroom has all amenities that you need - storage and hangers for your clothes, shelves for your personal items, bedside reading lights, and even a little desk for writing or working with the laptop.
The queen size bed with its high quality mattress is perfect for a relaxed sleep.
When you wake up, you can see the trees and flowers in the garden through the window.
The bathroom
The spacious bathroom is also fully equipped.
The garden
You are most welcome to explore and use the garden around Sisserou River Lodge for your pleasure.
On the terrace in front of your apartment, there is space to sit and relax, observe the parrots, humming birds and other birds passing by, read a book, enjoy your drink,... You could also roll out your mat for a little yoga or exercise..
On the Eastern boundary of the property, there is a lukewarm creek with a natural pool. We built some concrete steps, so that you can easily access the creek for taking a little dip, or just freshen up your feet after a long hike or a hot day on the coast..
There is quite a few fruit trees - grapefruit, orange, guava, avocado, plum, cherry, soursop and more, some of them still young, others tall and full of fruits when it is the season..
There are also many flowers to be admired, like lilies, strelitzia, hibiscus and roses, amongst others..
